Awe Spray’s interior is the owners version three cabin interior.  Through the cockpit doors is a galley to port with double bowl sink and separate stove and oven and fridge / freezer combo.  The galley offers ample storage for sundries and serving utensils.  Dinette is directly forward for seating for six and can sleep one person if necessary.  To starboard is the owner’s cabin with berth aft and head forward.  Closets and seating areas are between the two areas.  Door to cabin provides privacy if use of the head is desired by crew.  To Port are two additional cabins with a shared head.  Storage closets are provided in each.  Separate crew quarter bunks are forward in each bow with access through hatches.  Each bow sleeps one person.

The T shaped cock pit is the focal point of the Island Spirit 40.  A large table to port can seat up to four with a large bench aft can seat an additional four to five people.  The helm is to starboard and is set high enough for good visibility.  Excellent access to the sterns from the cockpit allows launching of the dinghy or swimming. Wide side decks provide easy access to the bow for lounging or anchoring.  Overall a great deck layout.
